About the role
The clinical coordinator is accountable for the coordination and alignment of protocols with evidence-based guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with outlying facilities and agencies to ensure protocols align with evidence-based guidelines.
- Ensures a safe and clean environment.
- Participates in budget preparations and committee functions as assigned.
- Identifies and resolves problems using evidenced-based practice.
- Serves as a role model demonstrating appropriate knowledge and expertise in patient care.
- Functions as a patient advocate while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintains focus on the educational growth of patients/families, team members, and self.
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and implements interventions as appropriate, being culturally sensitive.
- Promotes collaboration within the organization through participation in departmental and hospital programs, committees, and special projects.
- Promotes compliance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
- Maintains safety, health, and regulatory standards in the practice of the area of responsibility.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance and complies with Orlando Health policies.
Requirements
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing, bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy.
- Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant / Occupational therapist Assistant.
- Current RN, SLP-CCC, PT, PTA, or OT, or COTA license in the state of Florida.
- Three (3) years’ experience in nursing, including two years of clinical experience.
