Injection Operator 2nd/3rd Shift

About the role

Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers. Ensure acceptable attendance and learn and apply quality and production standards to assigned customer parts. Log all rejects and track production counts while meeting customer quality expectations. Assist with on-the-job training of new associates, including proper job methods, paperwork, and safety concerns. Follow job-specific responsibilities and packaging standards, and always seek advice for questionable products. Adhere to IATF16949 quality procedures for injection molding. Maintain a clean work area and perform cleanup duties as assigned. Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Log all rejects and track production counts.
• Ensure customer quality expectations are met and good parts are not discarded.
• Assist with on-the-job training of new associates in proper methods, paperwork, and safety.
• Follow job-specific responsibilities and packaging standards; never package questionable products without supervisor advice.
• Learn and follow IATF16949 quality procedures for injection molding.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform cleanup duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education and/or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English preferred.
• Computer knowledge advised.
• Effective oral and written communication in English preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, basic arithmetic, following instructions, and using gauges or instruments where interpretation is not required.
• Quality and quantity performance standards should be attained within 3 months under normal supervision.
