Injection Molding Process Engineer

What You'll Do

• Develop, document, and implement new and existing processes to enhance quality, productivity, and equipment efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to process technicians, operators, and other molding personnel
• Author and maintain clear, comprehensive process documentation for cross-functional understanding and execution
• Troubleshoot and develop molding processes independently, including start-up and shutdown of production equipment
• Collaborate with equipment and material vendors to diagnose and resolve operational challenges
• Monitor injection mold performance, recommending maintenance or refurbishment based on usage data and performance metrics
• Interface with customers to resolve technical issues and provide updates on project progress
• Apply statistical methods and data-driven solutions to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery
• Support site-wide initiatives in safety, environmental compliance, and ergonomic improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with 3-5 years of hands-on injection molding experience; equivalent education and experience considered
• Strong background in injection molding processing, tooling, materials, machinery, and quality systems
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and drive process improvements
• Effective communicator with strong organizational and leadership skills
• RJG Master Molder certification is a plus
• Experience in supervising or mentoring process technicians is preferred
