About the role

A tutor is needed to assist High School students during school hours with their CAASPP readiness. You will be working with students of all ages between 9-12th grade.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.
• Lead small-group tutoring sessions focused on CAASPP readiness and core academic skill-building.
• Use curriculum and materials provided by HeyTutor.
• Track and document student progress through HeyTutor’s platform.
• Create an engaging, structured environment that supports learning and confidence-building.
• Help students stay on track academically and make positive behavior choices.

Requirements

• Education: AA degree or higher (or currently enrolled in college/university).
• Spanish Bilingual Required (speak/read/write).
• Experience: Prior tutoring/teaching experience preferred (high school experience a plus).
• Skills: Comfortable leading small-group instruction in a classroom setting.
• Clearances: Ability to pass an FBI–DOJ background check.
• Subject Strength: Must have strong content knowledge in at least one of the areas below.
• Subjects Needed (12): Physics (2), Biology (1), Chemistry (1), English Language Development / ELD (2), Social Science (2), Spanish (4) Spanish Bilingual Required (speak/read/write).

Pay

$19–$24/hr (based on experience and qualifications).
