Ingest Associate

The Opportunity

The Ingest Associate supports fast-moving cable news and digital production workflows in our New Jersey office. This role is responsible for recording, ingesting, routing, quality-checking, organizing, and troubleshooting media assets that support live news coverage, show needs, breaking news, and digital content delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in a large media market or comparable fast-paced production environment.
• Strong understanding of production operations, digital media workflows, transcoding, digital file delivery, and media asset handling.
• Technical fluency across PC and Mac platforms, with the ability to troubleshoot file formats, codecs, ingest issues, and signal-quality concerns.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly deadline-driven environment with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships with producers, shows, assignment desks, and cross-functional partners.

• Bonus points for: Experience with non-linear editing tools, scheduling tools, and digital screening export workflows; Ability to set audio/video levels to spec and verify remote signal quality prior to air; Comfort learning new production technologies and improving day-to-day ingest workflows.

Additional Information

This role is on-site in New Jersey. Employees based in our Englewood Cliffs office have access to a variety of convenient on-site services and amenities, including free employee parking, complimentary electric vehicle charging stations, an on-site fitness center with locker rooms and towel service, and dry-cleaning drop-off and pick-up.

To support an easier commute, shuttle service (subject to schedule) is also available to and from the Englewood Cliffs campus, with pickup locations across Manhattan’s East Side and West Side, Brooklyn, Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, and Secaucus.
