About the role
As a Process Engineer at Davidson, you will design and size the operation of a process by carrying out various tasks such as:
- Creating and updating PIDs / PFDs
- Leading HAZOP reviews
- Defining process functions
- Developing interface documents for other trades to conduct their studies
- Analyzing feedback from operating installations and writing summary documents
You will also produce documents including:
- Technical notes (sizing of equipment such as pumps, exchangers, separators…)
- Operating notes (mechanical unit or mechanical equipment)
- Operating diagrams
- Instrumentation or automation specifications
- Flow diagrams
- Material and thermal balances
- Utilities, reagents, analytical balances
- Disturbance Analysis Tables
Examples of projects
- Technical note defining a new cooling network (study of the selected solution following the orientation study)
- Industrial implementation of maceration and hydrolysis operations
- Studies of process impacts of modernizing the water treatment of a chemical plant
- Study and selection of a pneumatic conveying technology for powders
- Sizing and creation of a PID for a steam network
- Preparation of site tests and conducting tests as Process and Fluids Test Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency with one or more software tools: PROSIM, PROII, EXCEL, AUTOCAD, PROSIMBATCH, ASPEN, FATHOM, HYSYS
- Strong technical aptitude
- Excellent writing skills
- Fluency in English
- Team spirit and willingness to share knowledge
