About the role
The Infusion Pharmacist at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is responsible for managing IV therapy medications, ensuring accurate dosing, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.Responsibilities
- Administering IV infusions and monitoring patient responses.
- Reviewing and documenting medication orders and patient charts.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infusion plans.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Providing patient education on medication administration and side effects.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy services and/or pharmaceutical services related to IV therapies.
- 2+ years of experience in retail pharmacy.
- PGY1 residency experience.
- Immunization Certified.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Currently licensed and Registered Pharmacist in New York State.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Standing, walking, sitting, pushing/pulling/lifting 10+ pounds, reaching, talking, hearing, manual dexterity/mobility, color vision, dust vapors/fumes.

- Knowledge of IV therapy protocols and best practices.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $73.35 - $89.26 per hour.Schedule
The Infusion Pharmacist works a full-time night shift schedule of 7:00pm-7:00am, including rotating weekends and holidays.Benefits
