About the role
Nation's Infusion at Home, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifebridge Health Partners, is a full-service Home Infusion company, offering a variety of home health services to the Maryland and DC markets.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for TPNs and production support on weekends
- Oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure the safe, accurate preparation of compounded infusion therapies in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including USP and
- Supervise technicians, verify and release finished products, and maintain cleanroom environments and equipment to meet strict quality and safety requirements
- Ensure accurate dispensing and coordination of medication delivery, maintain inventory and supply levels, and support the use of pharmacy technology and infusion equipment
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and adhere to all legal and ethical standards
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a home infusion environment or at least 2 years of relevant experience as a pharmacist
- Strong knowledge base in sterile IV admixture procedures, medication therapy management, and home infusion services
- Certain competencies in pharmacokinetic principles & formulas and assessing patient laboratory values
- Ability to problem solve and work in a high stress environment
- Experience with procurement and inventory management of medications
- Ability to train and supervise pharmacy technicians
- Proficient with software including, but not limited to, O365 and EMR systems
- Excellent problem solving, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- Strong working knowledge of USP and standards, aseptic technique, and infusion therapy management
- Current Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing and the ability to maintain required licensure; ability to receive a DC pharmacist license
- Ability to work the required schedule, including an on-call rotation which may include weekends, evenings, and overnights
