Infusion Nurse - Ambulatory Infusion Center

Soleo Health is seeking a Part Time Infusion Nurse to support our Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) patients in Maitland, FL.

About the role

The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
• Appropriate patient education.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Establish peripheral intravenous lines as well as access/maintain central venous lines (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines).
• Efficient and timely submission of clinical records.
• Medication preparation and administration.
• Triage infusion patient inquiries.
• Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
• Participate in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery, offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
• Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care.
• Manage AIC required documentation.
• Clean and disinfect all patient care areas in AIC.
• Manage AIC supplies.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and comply with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties.
• Provide administrative oversight, including monitoring of workflows, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing resources efficiently to meet organizational objectives.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of issues to minimize impact on operations.
• Availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the nature of the emergency.

Requirements

• Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
• Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy.
• Current nursing license for applicable home state.
• Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions.
• Knowledge and experience using IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications.
• IVIG Infusion experience preferred.

Schedule

• Part Time, 20-30 hours per week.
• Monday to Thursday, varying schedule between 8:00am - 4:00pm.
• No weekends or holidays.
