Summary
The Infrastructure Support Analyst will work closely with the Infrastructure & Security Engineer to gain exposure to network and security operations and develop skills in investigating and supporting cybersecurity operations. This role is responsible for triaging escalated issues, resolving technical problems, and coordinating with senior team members as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Network & Security Monitoring Support
- Assist with monitoring network performance, connectivity, and security alerts
- Help investigate and troubleshoot issues related to VPNs, firewalls, and other network/security tools under guidance from senior team members
- Escalate complex or high-impact issues to the Cyber Security Analyst or Infrastructure team as needed
- Cyber Security & Compliance Support
- Support efforts to maintain security standards across systems and devices
- Absorb reviews configurations and identify items that may not align with internal policies or best practices
- Follow established procedures for data protection, access control, and system security
- Network & System Security Operations Support
- Follow established practices for maintaining secure and reliable systems, including basic network segmentation and access controls
- Absorb vulnerability remediation efforts by completing assigned tasks and documenting findings
- Support ongoing improvements to system reliability and security through troubleshooting and contribution to team initiatives
- Escalation Triage
- Act as the primary escalation point for Help Desk tickets
- Triage issues, resolve where possible, or escalate to appropriate infrastructure resources
- Ensure issues are properly documented and tracked through resolution
- Technical Troubleshooting & Support
- Troubleshoot issues across key systems: Microsoft 365/Entra ID environments, Networking (VPN, firewalls, connectivity), Endpoint and user-related escalations
- Collaborate with Infrastructure team members to resolve complex issues
- Infrastructure Operations Support
- Server patching and maintenance
- Backup monitoring and issue resolution (Veeam / VDC)
- System health monitoring and alert response
- Execute defined operational tasks and runbook procedures
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
- Contribute to knowledge sharing between Help Desk and Infrastructure teams
- Identify recurring issues and help document standard solutions
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Help Desk to improve escalation quality and efficiency
- Participate in process improvements and operational maturity initiatives
- Support cross-team communication during incidents and changes
- Demonstrate continuous learning and development across supported systems and technologies
- Seek opportunities to learn from senior team members and expand technical skillsets across supported platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent)
- 0–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or related field
- Foundational understanding of: Microsoft 365 / identity concepts, Basic networking (IP, DNS, VPN concepts), Familiarity with cyber security principles

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment
