Infrastructure Product Owner (DevOps) - Level 5 (Evergreen)

As an Infrastructure Product Owner (DevOps) – Level 5, you will support our Software and Electronics/Payloads Department, which includes approximately 200 professionals: Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, and Engineering Leaders from entry-level to senior chief engineers and architects, as well as Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This engineering organization supports numerous programs across Divisions and Business Units of the Space Sector. The role is located at our Aurora, CO or Morrisville, NC office.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. The ideal candidate must have relevant DevOps experience and prior Agile Product Owner experience to join a small team as their Product Owner. This position is contingent upon candidate verification, obtaining final clearances, and program access within a reasonable period as determined by the company.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Product Owner for a DevOps team, defining and prioritizing the backlog for CI/CD pipeline deployment and infrastructure automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support missions of paramount importance, shaping the art of the possible.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 7 years of professional experience. An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- DevOps Engineering experience, including CI/CD pipeline deployment.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab Pipelines, and scripting.
- Experience with Terraform and environment initialization.
- Prior Agile experience in either a Product Owner or Scrum Master role.
- Prior leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- An active CI or FS Polygraph or have held a Polygraph within the last 24 months.
- Current and active Security+ and CISSP certifications.
- Prior engineering experience within the Space Industry.
- Excellent presentation, communication, technical writing, and organization skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience sharing knowledge via mentoring, coaching, or training others.
- Experience with developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with deployment automation scripting using Helm, Ansible, or related products.
- Experience troubleshooting virtualization, automation, and deployment applications such as Flux CD, Grafana, Athena, Prometheus, or Karpenter.
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems, preferably RHEL 8/9.
- Knowledge of basic networking principles (subnets, VLANs, routing, and firewalls).
Pay
The primary salary range for this position is $169,000.00 - $265,600.00. The above range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
