Infrastructure Engineer, TechOps CICD Image Management (Remote)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer, TechOps CICD Image Management (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will focus on building and maintaining automated infrastructure and image management systems that support CI/CD operations in a Linux environment. The engineer will partner with infrastructure and automation stakeholders to improve reliability, streamline software packaging, and strengthen configuration and compliance controls. This is a hands-on technical role with impact across platform engineering, delivery automation, and operational consistency. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the image build platform, including feature development and bug fixes
• Design and build automated golden image pipelines, primarily focused on Linux
• Compile and package software from source to meet internal requirements
• Develop Python scripts to manage image builds and testing
• Author Infrastructure as Code for configuration and compliance
• Integrate image pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI
• Manage the image lifecycle within the CI/CD ecosystem

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a software or infrastructure engineering environment
• US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Strong Linux systems engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitLab CI
• Experience debugging across OS, network, and application layers

Pay

Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 annually
