Infrastructure Engineer - Senior

Join the Stores Engineering Team, an emerging global engineering team focused on automation, innovation, and platform modernization. Build complex solutions that scale across more than 5,000 storefronts worldwide. Create technology that can positively impact transactions and improve store throughput. Collaborate with engineers, business partners, and hardware vendors to deliver meaningful store platform improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise Windows gold images, Sysprep processes, and OSD solutions
• Build automation using PowerShell and modern automation platforms
• Support SCCM/MECM packaging, software distribution, and deployment workflows
• Automate driver, BIOS, firmware, operating system, and application lifecycle processes
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, networking, operating system, and store technology issues
• Work directly with vendors on hardware validation, testing, and solution development
• Manage complex technical initiatives from design through enterprise deployment
• Support Point of Sale systems, thin clients, printers, scanners, and related store technologies
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long term platform strategy
• Promote engineering best practices across the team

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a proven track record of working without heavy oversight and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through delivery
• Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• Windows Client and Windows Server Engineering
• Enterprise gold image design, Sysprep, and image lifecycle management
• Operating System Deployment, including task sequences, imaging, deployment validation, and troubleshooting
• SCCM/MECM packaging, software distribution, and operating system deployment
• Core infrastructure knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, hubs, switches, and routers
• Proven ability to work independently, plan the work, and drive outcomes without constant oversight
• PowerShell Scripting and Automation
• Driver, BIOS, Firmware, and Operating System Management
• PC Hardware Architecture, Troubleshooting, and Diagnostics
• Source Control Platforms such as GitHub
• Experience working directly with vendors and cross functional engineering teams

Pay

$70 - $75/hr

Schedule

Contract duration: 1 year, possible extension. Remote (Local Talent Only) with occasional in-office lab work (approximately 1-2 times per week, though some weeks may not require lab access).
