Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and strengthen a complex enterprise technology environment in California. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can resolve high-level infrastructure issues, enhance system reliability, and contribute to modernization efforts across cloud, server, and network operations. The role requires close collaboration with technical teams to improve performance, security, and operational consistency across the environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior escalation resource for advanced technical problems that extend beyond the standard support tiers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues affecting network connectivity, server operations, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure services.
• Administer and support Azure-based resources and services to maintain availability, stability, and performance.
• Manage both Microsoft Windows Server and Linux systems, including ongoing support, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.
• Maintain endpoint administration frameworks such as Microsoft Intune and Group Policy, with a focus on streamlining policies and improving standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure enhancements, strengthen security controls, and implement system upgrades.
• Use Ansible and related automation practices to improve configuration management and expand infrastructure automation capabilities.
• Track infrastructure and network health through proactive monitoring to help protect system performance, uptime, and security.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and associated cloud services.
• Strong background administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux system support and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, infrastructure operations, and incident resolution.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools, including Ansible.
• Familiarity with endpoint management technologies such as Microsoft Intune and Active Directory Group Policy.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud, server, and network domains.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with internal teams on infrastructure and security initiatives.
