Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Cost Manager, ANS
About the role
The role involves preparing cost estimates and cost plans, developing value engineering and life cycle costing options, identifying potential risks, contributing to pre-contract process meetings, creating and managing cost control reports, attending client meetings, participating in design team meetings, assisting in developing standardized project templates, preparing and managing change order logs, invoice logs, and detailed cost reports, and overseeing measurements and pricing research for development appraisals and qualification reviews.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, incorporating benchmarking data for review.
- Develop value engineering and life cycle costing options to optimize project efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and help maintain the project’s Risk Register.
- Contribute to pre-contract process meetings, offering cost-related insights.
- Create and manage cost control reports to track financial performance.
- Attend client meetings with senior colleagues and document key discussion points and actions.
- Participate in design team meetings, assess cost implications, and implement agreed outcomes.
- Assist in developing standardized project templates for consistent documentation.
- Prepare and manage change order logs, invoice logs, and detailed cost reports.
- Oversee measurements and pricing research for development appraisals and qualification reviews.
Requirements
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or another cost/construction-focused field. Minimum requirements include:
- Cost Manager: 2+ years of minimum cost management experience.
- Senior Cost Manager: 5+ years of cost management experience.
- Lead Consultant: 7+ years of cost management experience.
- Associate Director: 10+ years of cost management experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in hyper-scale data centers.
- Thorough and complete knowledge of the construction process and management techniques, methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Organized and detail-oriented.

Pay
$100,000 - $135,000 annually.
