Infra Designer

About the role

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology. This role is within the Infra Designer team, responsible for evaluating factory utility capacities, reviewing tool installation packages, and managing stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Understand utility drawings in AutoCAD
• Execute lateral design in AutoCAD for new tool expansion needs
• Interact with Facility Services, Unit Parts, GCS, PCS, EH&S, and CRT during factory field walks
• Document control of piping specs and flow models for bulk utilities
• Review tool installation packages for accuracy
• Manage stakeholders in a customer-service oriented team
• Support future scenario planning including schedule forecasting and reporting
• Build out cost and schedule requirements for utility retrofits

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil)
• 2+ years of experience in design or equipment/utility install, preferably in semiconductor facility support
• Ability to read and understand design plans, shop drawings, and work in progress
• Experience managing and leading projects including design, specification, and construction administration
• Familiarity with design and installation of facility equipment, or design and construction of industrial buildings
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards, IBC, and other codes and standards applicable to industrial facility design and construction
• Aptitude for documentation and data analysis using MS Office programs, including Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with pipeflow and Python a plus

Pay

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $212,650. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Total Compensation

Individuals may also receive MBO bonuses based on company, division, and individual performance. All positions at Samsung SAS are full-time on-site.
