Information Technology Student Technician

Position Information

NC State University Libraries IT Department is seeking motivated undergraduate or graduate students to join the Libraries Information Technology Support team. IT Student Technicians work to assist Library patrons and staff with technology issues. Duties include: monitoring and responding to the Libraries IT Service Desk support requests; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues; assisting with hardware, software, and network support; maintaining IT equipment and supporting Libraries computing.

Requirements and Preferences

• Must be enrolled as an Undergraduate or Graduate student at NC State University.
• Ability to learn new skills via hands-on experience with new technology and through technical documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and problem-solve.
• Able to adhere to a consistent schedule with minimal lateness or absenteeism.

Recruitment Details
