About the role

The Information Technology Manager II (IT Manager II) oversees the Enterprise Infrastructure Branch (EIB) of the Technology Services Division (TSD) under the administrative direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This Branch includes Network Infrastructure, Server/Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure Security, and Telecommunications. The IT Manager II is responsible for policy development, technical implementation, and maintenance and support related to CDTFA’s information technology infrastructure, ensuring coordination among EIB sections to provide quality service and meet CDTFA's business needs through appropriate technology. The Branch Chief may also act as the backup CIO as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Enterprise Infrastructure Branch, including Network Infrastructure, Server/Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure Security, and Telecommunications.
  • Develop and implement policies related to CDTFA’s information technology infrastructure.
  • Ensure technical implementation, maintenance, and support of infrastructure systems.
  • Coordinate activities among EIB sections to align technology with CDTFA’s business needs.
  • Act as backup Chief Information Officer (CIO) when required.

Qualifications

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week, with schedules subject to change.

Pay

$11,388.00 - $13,842.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
