Information Technology/Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist I 24-7

Key Responsibilities

• Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
• Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation as required.
• Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
• Perform hardware and software system configurations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
• Perform account creations, changes, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
• Provide government-issued laptop support.

Cybersecurity and Authorization Review

• Prepare, update, and review authorization packages.
• Notify the customer of changes that may affect authorization accreditation.
• Conduct the cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection checklist.
• Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
• Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support

• Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
• Perform Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
• Provide external information system client support.
• Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration.

Security and Accountability

• Affirm media control and accountability activities.
• Perform Communications Security (COMSEC) account and equipment management activities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years of related experience, including prior experience in roles such as System/Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Certifications: IAT Level I.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI CI Poly.
