About the role
Spectrum High School is seeking a full-time (1.0) Middle/High School Information Technology/Computer Science teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The position aligns with the school's vision and mission, emphasizing excellence in education and preparing students for college and careers.
Responsibilities
- Plans instruction and other student support activities, establishing overall goals and priorities, lesson plans, classroom activities, and daily lesson plans, consistent with the Kim Marshall curriculum design.
- Selects, modifies, and integrates materials and resources to ensure lesson plans and instructional materials are aligned with School District/department goals and objectives.
- Maintains student control in the classroom, on school premises, and in school activities by communicating clear expectations for appropriate behavior, providing structure and consistency, and encouraging student responsibility, cooperation, and mutual respect.
- Participates in parent/teacher conferences, maintaining grade books to demonstrate student strengths, weaknesses, and problems, and reporting grades to parents at designated times.
- Collaborates with other middle/high school and district professionals to share best teaching practices and new techniques, ensuring effective professional work relationships meet the needs of students.
- Develops and evaluates student tests, determines grades for instructional units, and reports grades to parents.
- Pursues professional development activities to enhance content knowledge and teaching skills, identifying and addressing professional needs through strategic planning.
- Records and maintains proper records to provide accurate information.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or Computer Science.
- At least three years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Experience with integrating technology into the classroom.
- Ability to develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
