About the role

The incumbent will assist customers with IT procurement related activities, which includes, but are not limited to determination of needs, procurement submittal and life cycle management. This will include the receiving, inventory, asset tagging, tracking and surveying work associated with assets. Deployment coordination and planning along with quality customers communications is a necessity.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in IT procurement activities, including need determination, procurement submittal, and lifecycle management.
  • Manage IT assets through receiving, inventory, asset tagging, tracking, and surveying.
  • Coordinate and plan deployments, ensuring quality customer communications.
  • Utilize the prescribed ticketing system for clear, accurate, and technical documentation of customer issues.
  • Provide administrative and technical support on printers, computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and telecommunications services.
  • Support end user device life cycle management, including procurement, deployment, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operations, and surplus.
  • Provide end user training in the configuration and use of client technologies.
  • Collaborate with peers and management to update and recommend standards, processes, and procedures, and technology practices.
  • Track, monitor, and audit IT assets using standard asset management tools and techniques in compliance with the State Administrative Manual and other applicable policies and regulations.
  • Perform functions including, but not limited to, researching, writing, reporting, presenting, etc.

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification.
  • Experience in providing support to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience in processing or reviewing IT procurement activities.
  • Education, training, and professional background that qualifies the applicant as the ideal candidate for this position.

  • Ability to collaborate with peers and management to update and recommend standards, processes, and procedures, and technology practices.
  • Knowledge of standard asset management tools and techniques in compliance with the State Administrative Manual and other applicable policies and regulations.
  • Ability to perform functions including, but not limited to, researching, writing, reporting, presenting, etc.
