Information Technology and Cybersecurity Intern

About the role

Cortina is a government contractor providing technical professional services. We also invest in the local community by hiring individuals from under-resourced, developing communities and training them for professional jobs.

Responsibilities

• Manage company systems and documentation library
• Establish and maintain compliance to industry cybersecurity standards including CMMC, ISO27001, and NIST
• Work with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and other cybersecurity specialists at Cortina

Requirements

• MUST live in a HUBZone
• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field
• General computer systems competency
• Experienced with Microsoft Office products
• Basic working knowledge of cybersecurity, including firewalls, vpns, and network segmentation
• Good communications and problem solving skills
• Self-starter and independent thinker
• High level of ownership and professionalism
