Information Systems Security Officer ISSO - China Lake CA
About the role
JT4, LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to monitor information systems, conduct audits, and maintain security plans in a Risk Management Framework (RMF) environment. This role involves constant monitoring of security threats and proper documentation of reports.
Responsibilities
- Provides incident handling in conjunction with the Facility Security Office (FSO) and Information Security Officer / Information Systems Security Manager (ISSO/ISSM)
- Aids in writing and maintaining computer security processes to meet Air Force requirements of RMF
- Makes recommendations for future hardware/software implementations and related process improvements
- Performs security training and awareness briefings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology, or equivalent academic/technical training/certification
- Two to three years of experience in computer system security and/or related areas of expertise
- Compliant to DoD 8570.01-M levels and possess or working towards Security+ certification with a CISSP desired
- Experience with JSIG, NIST 800, and NISPOM, Chapter 8
- Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer security and information systems
- Must possess experience supporting various system configurations such as Stand Alone, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communications, planning, and organizing
- Must possess ability to work in a field environment at remote locations with occasional overnight assignments
- Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
- Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $85,945.60 to $100,945.60 annually. The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Schedule
This position is located at China Lake and is not eligible for telework.
