Information Systems Security Officer, Classified Cybersecurity

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a current Top Secret clearance. A DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire is also required. Additionally, experience in information systems auditing is necessary, along with knowledge of operating system security requirements and hands-on experience with industry-standard information assurance tools. Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is essential.

Job Description

This position involves supporting day-to-day information system security operations, including hardware and software implementations. The role includes carrying out technical administration of information systems in accordance with internal Lockheed Martin and customer security requirements, primarily through the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Responsibilities also include maintaining, monitoring, analyzing, and responding to network and security events, as well as documenting compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or developing a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) to address non-compliance within the allotted timeframe. Ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan is another key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
• Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
• Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
• Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
• Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility.

Desired Skills

Experience drafting Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations is desired.
