About the role

The Journeyman Information System Security Manager (ISSM) supports the NC3 Program at Peterson SFB, CO. The role involves ensuring system and application deliverables meet cybersecurity policies, developing and maintaining cybersecurity architecture, and performing risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all system and application deliverables meet National, Federal, DoD, and Department of the Air Force Cybersecurity policies.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives, and policies.
  • Guide the quality and completeness of A&A activities and resulting artifacts.
  • Support system/application Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts.
  • Recommend policies and procedures to ensure the reliability of and accessibility to information systems.
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and inspections of planned and installed information systems.
  • Evaluate system sources of changes and provide inputs to root cause analysis.
  • Review and provide inputs to modification packages and communications and network infrastructure upgrades.
  • Perform security impact analysis on system changes and document findings.
  • Monitor intelligence and open-source information for vulnerabilities affecting systems.
  • Implement systems security monitoring, evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • Prepare and record system, security status, and portfolio management information into ITIPS.
  • Support and assist external teams in evaluating systems cybersecurity posture.
  • Perform Information Systems Security Management (722) and Vulnerability Assessment Analyst (541) Core/Additional Tasks.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree and 3-10 years of experience related to the position requirements.
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program.
  • Government security clearance at the Top Secret-SCI level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Able to transport self to various facility sites, as required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced level qualification requirements for Information System Security Manager (722) or Vulnerability Assessment Analyst (541) as outlined in DoD Cyber Workforce Framework.

Skills

  • Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management concepts.
  • Facilitation of the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.
  • Ability to promote awareness of security issues among management.
  • Experience in systems security monitoring, evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • Experience in recommending systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Experience in promoting adherence to systems security policies and procedures.
  • Experience in participating in network and systems design.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is estimated between $110 - 112K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PE Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
