About the role
The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. This position will provide support in the execution of cybersecurity and RMF accreditation activities and serve as a cybersecurity/RMF expert for the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS).
Responsibilities
- Support execution of cybersecurity and RMF accreditation activities
- Function as a cybersecurity/RMF expert for Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS)
- Provide on-site support during local day shift at the Wideband C-SSE in Colorado Springs, CO, 5 days a week (excluding weekends and Government-recognized holidays)
Requirements
- US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
- Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 6 years experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security
- 4 years experience supporting DoD RMF accreditation for Moderate or High impact systems
- DoD 8140 / 8570-compliant cybersecurity certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CAP, CompTIA Security+)
Qualifications
- Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570-compliant cybersecurity certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CAP, CompTIA Security+)
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
- Experience with RMF accreditation processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
