Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) [Full Scope Polygraph]

Responsibilities

• Provide the government customer with expert technical assistance by designing secure networks, performing security assessments of computing environments, evaluating architectures for compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards, and recommending risk mitigation strategies
• Lead as a security engineer providing expert assistance with the design, development, implementation and/or integration of secure networks, enclave environments, architectures, systems, and system components
• Support Government enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures
• Support the customer with assistance to ensure that the architecture and design of information systems are functional and secure
• Advocate and recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements
• Monitor and recommend improvements to IA policy
• Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
• Identify security requirements for the proper handling of Government data
• Interact with Government customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve IA objectives

• Prior experience as an ISSE

Certification Requirements

• DoDD 8140 compliance with IASAE Level III or Level II
• Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Clearance Requirements

TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph

Benefits

The pay range for this position is $165,000 to $275,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
