About the role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled **Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)** to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain security solutions to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with other IT and security teams to assess risks, develop security strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, a keen eye for potential vulnerabilities, and a commitment to keeping systems secure against evolving threats. Responsibilities
- Design and implement security solutions for information systems
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate security measures into systems
Requirements
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems)
- Strong understanding of encryption technologies
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) practices
- Expertise in threat detection and mitigation strategies
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud security models (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of network security protocols and architecture
- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
- Proficiency in security automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Understanding of secure software development practices
- Experience with risk management frameworks and security audits
