About the role
The Information Systems Security Engineer (HPC) plays a critical role in ensuring the security of high-performance computing systems. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures, conducting regular security audits, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for HPC environments.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Respond to security incidents and provide technical support to mitigate risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
- Experience with HPC systems and security best practices.
- Knowledge of common security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl.
- Understanding of network protocols and security architectures.
Skills
- Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools.
- Good understanding of data encryption techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
