Information Systems Security Engineer (HPC)

About the role

The Information Systems Security Engineer (HPC) plays a critical role in ensuring the security of high-performance computing systems. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures, conducting regular security audits, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for HPC environments.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Respond to security incidents and provide technical support to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience with HPC systems and security best practices.
• Knowledge of common security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl.
• Understanding of network protocols and security architectures.

Skills

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools.
• Good understanding of data encryption techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
