Information System Security Officer (ISSO)-Intermediate with Security Clearance

About the role

The Information Systems Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the security of information systems and networks within the organization. This includes conducting security assessments, implementing security policies, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations
• Implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures
• Responding to security incidents and breaches
• Collaborating with IT staff to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
• Maintaining awareness of emerging threats and technologies

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, including experience with security assessments and incident response
• Experience with security protocols such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and/or CMMC
• Strong understanding of network architecture and security principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
