Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

About the role

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring that all information systems within the organization are secure and compliant with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments
• Respond to security incidents and breaches
• Train employees on security best practices
• Ensure compliance with federal and state security regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in information security
• CISSP certification preferred

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Skills

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS
• Experience with security tools and technologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
