Information System Security Officer
About the role
As an Information System Security Officer, you will work with system owners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure security controls are implemented to reduce risk. Your responsibilities include assessing the entire threat landscape, developing mitigation plans, and communicating security requirements to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage cyber risks for mission-critical systems
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security standards
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes
- Maintain continuous monitoring and security posture awareness
- Communicate security requirements and concerns to a variety of stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience as an Information System Security Officer
- Experience ensuring consistency in processes, tools, and documentation
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework and NIST 800-53
- Ability to perform RMF activities in accordance with federal mandates, NIST guidance, and agency policies and procedures
- Ability to articulate security requirements and concerns to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to support Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
- Ability to maintain continuous monitoring and security posture awareness
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree (nice to have)

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
