Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) - Mid with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Support the information assurance program for a program, organization, system, or enclave.
• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems, security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Manage the operational security posture of an information system or program to ensure compliance with information systems security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day security operations and manage the security aspects of the Information System.
• Conduct vulnerability/risk assessments and analyze security impacts of changes to systems.
• Manage configuration management (CM) for information systems security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Prepare and review documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Support security authorization activities in accordance with the CSS Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of relevant ISSE experience may be considered.
• At least ten (10) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, with recent experience in cybersecurity principles and technology, including access control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network and enterprise security architecture.
• Active DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE II certification is mandatory.
