Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain the customer organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program, including IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures.
- Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
- Implement and enforce Air Force IA policies and procedures using applicable Air Force guidance and specialized IA publications.
- Comply with installation WCSO policy and direction.
- Ensure all users have the required security clearances, supervisory need-to-know authorization, and awareness of their IA responsibilities before receiving access to Air Force information systems, in accordance with AFSSI 8522.
- Ensure all users receive IA refresher training annually.
- Develop and maintain Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation for organization-specific systems connected to the Hanscom Network.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent; six years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Six years of experience with cybersecurity practices within the DoD or another Federal agency.
- Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and applicable Federal cybersecurity directives and instructions.
- Ability to work dynamically and effectively with people on formal and informal projects and conduct technical interchanges as required.
- CISSP certification required.
- Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred.

About the Role
- American Operations Corporation (AOC) is seeking an Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support the customer organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program at Hanscom Air Force Base.
