About the role

The Information Security Risk Specialist will conduct security assessments on DoD cloud environments using the Risk Management Framework (RMF). They will provide guidance on policies and procedures to ensure compliance within an accreditation boundary. Additionally, they will implement security strategies to control and manage organizational information risks, assess information systems to determine risk exposure, and develop documentation addressing system security requirements. They will also enhance information security education within the organization and team, monitor the latest security technologies, and stay updated on relevant developments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments on DoD cloud environments using the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures to ensure compliance within an accreditation boundary
  • Implement security strategies to control and manage organizational information risks
  • Audit information systems to determine risk exposure and develop documentation addressing system security requirements
  • Enhance information security education within the organization and team
  • Maintain awareness of the latest security technologies and ensure project personnel are up-to-date

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role
  • 3+ years of experience with the DoD RMF accreditation processes
  • Experience with RMF, STIGs, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, AWS, Xacta, or eMASS
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security controls
  • Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance
  • Ability to develop technical documentation to support accreditation efforts

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • DoD 8140 IAM Level 1 Certification

Skills

  • Experience implementing and maintaining security controls in a cloud-based environment
  • Experience as an ISSM
  • Bachelor’s degree

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
