About the role
The Information Security Manager at the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) will lead the implementation of advanced security controls in the Azure cloud environment. The role involves spearheading security directives, championing security awareness, and providing technical leadership within the Information Security team.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead Security Directives: Implement complex technical and security projects to improve CHIA’s security and compliance posture.
- Champion Security Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends and tools relevant to CHIA’s security challenges and work with the organization to evolve capabilities and infrastructure.
- Provide On-going Security Awareness Training: Offer regular security awareness training to CHIA employees.
- Lead Project Teams: Create, plan, and deliver high-value information security and technical solutions, fostering collaboration for meaningful outcomes.
- Cross Team Collaboration: Work with IT operations, application development, and data operations teams to align with CHIA’s technical agenda.
Requirements
- Cloud Environment Expert: Proven expertise in securing cloud environments, including vulnerability and compliance management, threat research, and risk management.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of security frameworks like NIST 800-53, firewall management, endpoint management in Intune and Defender, and experience with SIEMs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical issues and engage stakeholders.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering.
- Specialized Expertise: At least 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years of proficiency in Azure or AWS.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in implementing and managing security controls in cloud environments.
- Experience with tools such as vulnerability management, compliance management, and SIEMs.
- Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST 800-53.
- Experience with firewall management and endpoint protection.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
Benefits

Schedule
Hybrid model with at least two days per week in the Boston office, with flexibility for remote work.
