Information Security Manager

About the role

The Information Security Manager will serve as the primary security leader across the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) and the AI Computing Resource (AICR) at the heart of the Massachusetts AI Hub.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security architecture and risk management strategies
• Manage compliance with security frameworks such as NIST 800-171 / 53 moderate, CMMC or equivalent
• Oversee security operations, including incident response and security monitoring
• Ensure secure network, identity and access management, and vulnerability management practices are in place
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security initiatives and policies

Requirements

• Seven years of progressive information security experience with expertise in security architecture, risk and compliance management, security operations, incident response, and working knowledge of security frameworks
• Experience with network security, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools

PREFERRED

• Professional certification (CISSP or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with securing HPC, GPU cluster, or data center environments
• Experience with AI/ML workload security
• Familiarity with multi-institution or consortium security environments

Qualifications

The Information Security Manager must comply with all relevant MGHPCC security policies.
