Information Security Intern

Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic security projects and tasks to gain practical experience in the security landscape
- Partner closely with seasoned professionals on assigned projects
- Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines
- Perform other security-related tasks as needed to support the team
- Adopt a pro-active mindset to engage in Information Security developmental workshops and intern-led activities
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documents such as spreadsheets that track, measure, and facilitate improvement of internal processes
- Review and assist in the implementation of security policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives that require analysis and a keen desire to learn various Information Security tools
- Support special projects and other tasks/duties as needed
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Interest and desire to learn about information security practices and technologies
- Basic understanding of information security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, GRC platforms, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive information
- Eagerness to learn and apply cybersecurity principles in a professional environment
- Microsoft Operating System concepts and system administration knowledge
Location
Ability to work on-site at either our corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, PA or in Carrollton, TX.
