Responsibilities
- Support Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Cloud Security, and Endpoint System Data Protection initiatives.
- Aid in developing and tuning DLP policies using Microsoft Purview and Defender tools.
- Collaborate with security operations to transition data discovery and DSPM capabilities into operational workflows.
- Help maintain and tune DSPM tools to identify and mitigate data risks.
- Participate in policy development aligned with NIST-CSF and CIS hardening baselines.
- Support automation and AI/ML initiatives conceptually and assist in operational tuning.
- Collaborate with IT, Risk and Compliance, Privacy, and business units to embed security into system designs and workflows.
Qualifications
- Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant fields include Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent project experience).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Defender, and related security tools is acceptable; direct hands-on experience is a plus but not required.
- Mentorship will be provided.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, from academic projects or internships.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST-CSF, CIS baselines, and GDPR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in pursuing certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in security.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a security-first culture.

For quota-based sales roles, incentive pay is typically paid as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
