About the role

The Information Security Analyst II at HAPO Community Credit Union is responsible for advanced monitoring, analysis, investigation, and response related to information security threats. This position builds on Level I responsibilities by applying strong knowledge of established monitoring and response procedures, playbooks, standards, programs, and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Change Management/Change Control processes and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of information security threats, trends, and tactics.
  • Support phishing campaign planning.
  • Route information security support requests.
  • Understand capabilities of security solutions within the monitoring responsibility of the Information Security Analyst.
  • Follow established monitoring and response playbooks and serve as a knowledgeable resource on related procedures.
  • Create and maintain information security procedures that promote consistent monitoring, response, and operational practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate.
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of computer networking and protocols.
  • Critical and analytical thinking.
  • Independent learning.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security Solutions (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Server, Purview, Defender for Office).
  • Kusto Query Language SEIM management (Sentinel preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic understanding of programming and scripting languages.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Willingness to learn and keep an open mind.
  • Ability to find ways to improve processes.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux Operating systems.
  • Understanding of computer networking and protocols.

  • Starting Hourly Pay Range (DOE): $70,796.96 – $106,195.63.

Schedule

M-F, 35-40 hours a week between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm
