Based in Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport, the group comprises Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS), serving major military prime contractors and the Department of Defense for over 60 years.

About the role

The Information Security Analyst II will monitor and protect the organization from cyber-attacks across multiple vectors, including network, hardware, software, cloud, email, and insider threats. This role requires active response to and mitigation of cyber threats.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and resolving potential and actual security problems.
  • Implement security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
  • Monitor systems and networks for security threats.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Keep users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to secure infrastructure.
  • Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.
  • Ensure employees follow proper security practices, which may include direct engagement.
  • Perform on-call network troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Basic security certification or cybersecurity-related certification, or equivalent education or work experience.
  • Experience with information security policies, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks, SIEM tools, cloud security, and system administration.
  • Understanding of network security, endpoint security, and network protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (especially for non-technical audiences).
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility in working hours.

Work Environment

  • Medium-to-large, fast-paced office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Exposure to a combination of normal office-type environments.
  • This position is 100% onsite.

Pay

Base salary range (Inglewood only): $90,000 to $120,000.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of ITAR, defined as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
