Responsibilities

  • Aid in monitoring security alerts and escalating issues to senior team members.
  • Support endpoint security and compliance efforts within Microsoft Intune and related Microsoft security tools.
  • Maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security settings according to established standards.
  • Participate in testing and validation of security changes, policy updates, and endpoint configurations.
  • Assist with user and device access reviews, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) support, and identity-related security tasks.
  • Document procedures, standards, and troubleshooting steps in runbooks or internal knowledge bases.
  • Work with IT teams to investigate security issues, configuration inconsistencies, and endpoint compliance gaps.
  • Afford routine reporting, track remediation items, and follow up on assigned security tasks.
  • Contribute to security awareness and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
  • Utilize PowerShell and/or Intune remediation scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reporting, and configuration drift checks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • One to two years of experience in Information Security, System Administration, Help Desk, or similar roles.
  • Exposure to Mobile Device Management (MDM)/Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies for Windows/MacOS/iOS/Android.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Defender Portal, particularly in areas such as Sentinel, Secure Score, and Cloud Apps.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of investigating alerts, interpreting audit logs, and distinguishing between signal and noise.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to follow established procedures, manage assigned tasks, and escalate when necessary.

Preferred

  • Microsoft certifications relevant to security and compliance.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
  • Exposure to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, or Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Comfortable working across various functional teams including Legal, Compliance, HR, and IT, and possessing discretion regarding sensitive data and insider risks.
  • Experience with Intune device configurations and MDM Policies.
