Responsibilities
- Aid in monitoring security alerts and escalating issues to senior team members.
- Support endpoint security and compliance efforts within Microsoft Intune and related Microsoft security tools.
- Maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security settings according to established standards.
- Participate in testing and validation of security changes, policy updates, and endpoint configurations.
- Assist with user and device access reviews, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) support, and identity-related security tasks.
- Document procedures, standards, and troubleshooting steps in runbooks or internal knowledge bases.
- Work with IT teams to investigate security issues, configuration inconsistencies, and endpoint compliance gaps.
- Afford routine reporting, track remediation items, and follow up on assigned security tasks.
- Contribute to security awareness and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
- Utilize PowerShell and/or Intune remediation scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reporting, and configuration drift checks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- One to two years of experience in Information Security, System Administration, Help Desk, or similar roles.
- Exposure to Mobile Device Management (MDM)/Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies for Windows/MacOS/iOS/Android.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Defender Portal, particularly in areas such as Sentinel, Secure Score, and Cloud Apps.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of investigating alerts, interpreting audit logs, and distinguishing between signal and noise.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to follow established procedures, manage assigned tasks, and escalate when necessary.
Preferred
- Microsoft certifications relevant to security and compliance.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.
- Exposure to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, or Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
- Comfortable working across various functional teams including Legal, Compliance, HR, and IT, and possessing discretion regarding sensitive data and insider risks.
- Experience with Intune device configurations and MDM Policies.
