Information Security Advisor - Cloud DevOps/Automation Engineer

About the Role

This role maintains enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry-standard security controls. It focuses on delivering strategic network security, access control, and secure transaction/messaging solutions, ensuring that security technologies are well-designed and implemented according to enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provides first-level engineering design functions and trouble resolution.
  • Serves as the point of technical escalation for complex problems.
  • Leads or plans implementations for access management and network security technologies.
  • Develops testing plans to ensure the quality of implementations.
  • Investigates and reports data security events and incidents.
  • Provides system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.
  • Supports business and technology associates in risk assessments and implementation of security procedures, standards, and technologies.
  • Maintains security incident response plans.
  • Represents major upgrades and business system replacements in change control.
  • Oversees the enterprise mix of vendor services.
  • Recommends changes and updates to strategy.
  • May act as a key contact for setting vendor strategy.
  • Designs and engineers repetitive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards.
  • Develops support procedures and performance metrics reports.
  • Leads level 1 & 2 incident recoveries.
  • Organizes the efforts of other analysts as part of incident recovery.
  • Leads root cause analysis efforts.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS/BA degree in Information Technology or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also considered.
  • Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 4 or more of the following skill sets:
    • Access Control
    • Application Security
    • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
    • Cryptography
    • Information Security and Risk Management
    • Legal, Regulations, Compliance, and Investigations
    • Operations Security
    • Physical (Environmental) Security
    • Security Architecture and Design
    • Telecommunications and Network Security

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Venafi TLS Protect and certificate lifecycle management platforms
    • Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
    • Enterprise PKI architectures and certificate management
    • Public Certificate Authorities (DigiCert, Entrust, Sectigo, etc.)
    • Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
    • SSH key management and SSH certificate technologies
    • TLS/SSL protocols and secure communications
    • Certificate automation and lifecycle governance
    • Enterprise cryptographic operations and key management
  • Strong understanding of:
    • PKI concepts and trust models
    • X.509 certificates and certificate chaining
    • Cryptographic algorithms (RSA, ECC, AES)
    • TLS/SSL protocols and cipher suites
    • SSH protocols, keys, and certificate-based authentication
    • Certificate revocation mechanisms (CRL, OCSP)
    • Cryptographic compliance and regulatory requirements
    • Secure key lifecycle management principles

Location and Work Model

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Hours: Standard working hours
Travel: In-office 1-2 days per week, with flexibility for virtual work. Alternate locations may be considered for candidates within commuting distance. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
