Information Review and Release Analyst - Senior
About the role
Nightwing seeks a full-time Information Review and Release Analyst (senior-performance level) in the Herndon, VA area in support of a dynamic Intelligence Community component offering a flexible work schedule. The position requires an individual to review and thoroughly research requests for the release of information in accordance with one or more of the following: Executive Order (EO) 13526, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and/or Privacy Act (PA).
Responsibilities
- Reviews & redacts certain equities within classified documents, records and files in accordance with established standard operating procedures, workflows and policies.
- Sets up requests to the scanning team to scan any documents needed for research.
- Sets up requests to the search team to conduct the initial search for data relevant to the case.
- Aids in the training of newly hired search team members, as requested.
- Collaborates with supervisory client POCs to recommend and implement changes that improve processes, workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Possesses an active TS//SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment.
Requirements
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience reviewing & redacting classified information for the Sponsor or Intelligence Community (IC) in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526 directive.
- Experience in a position requiring analytic skills (such as intelligence analysts, foreign disclosure officers, CD/CI/CT analysts, etc.) AND a demonstrated familiarity with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526 directive.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any liberal arts, scientific or technical discipline will be considered equivalent to three (3) years of relevant experience. A master’s degree is equivalent to an additional (1) year of experience.
- A driven self-starter who collaborates with client staff and has the capability to recommend and to adapt to new processes.
- Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Goal oriented individual who is able to apply critical thinking and provide out of the box solutions.
- Communicates effectively with peers and various management levels delivering a proactive experience and approach to high quality services for all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active TS//SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment.

- Utilizes a broad array of customer systems and tools in order to accurately inform the review and release process.

Pay
Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Works an eight-hour shift between 6:00AM - 6:00PM, Monday-Friday. Infrequently provides surge support outside of normal office hours for short-fused emergent requests.
