About the role

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

Description Of Work

Traveling throughout the state of North Carolina as needed to attend meetings with the Hispanic and Military communities.
Creating initiatives in collaboration with the local media (radio, television and social media) and supported by the distribution of printed material from NCDOI to reach and educate these groups regarding their rights and responsibilities as insurance policy holders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, media, journalism, English, or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in communications, public relations, or publicity work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Hourly Rate of Pay: $40.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Schedule

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
