About The Role
Peraton Labs is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager with strong technical skills in support of Strategic Innovation Group's Information Assurance operations. This is a full-time on-site position working at our Bedford, New Hampshire office, with occasional travel to support Maryland or New Jersey sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage classified and unclassified information systems within MS Windows and Linux environments
- Monitor security logs for anomalous events
- Conduct security audits and continuous monitoring activities
- Harden systems, scan, apply patches, remediate and/or mitigate with POA&M appropriately
- Build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot information systems and network devices
- Provide IA and technical support to Information System Security Manager, Program Managers, and user communities
- Develop, maintain, and update IA documentation, e.g., SP, RAR, IRP, etc.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot systems (hardware and software) in a rapid deployment climate
Qualifications
- Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Required Degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, cyber security or information technology
- Meet DoD 8570/8140 Level II requirements, e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent certification (with ability to obtain IAT III certification within 12 months of employment)
- Hands-on experience working in a Microsoft Windows and Linux system administration role with specific focus on Ubuntu and RedHat distributions
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts, e.g. DHCP, DNS, SSH, TLS, IPSec, etc.
- Knowledge of Authority to Operate) processes, procedures, and industry-standard guidelines, continuous monitoring, POA&Ms, JSIG, NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53 Rev4/ Rev5, and other special publications
- Works well with team members, good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in team or alone
- Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as ISSO/ISSM in dynamic and diverse environments
- Extensive experience with vulnerability management tools, e.g., ACAS, Nessus, Xacta, etc.
- Extensive experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network devices, e.g., servers, workstations, switches, routers, etc.
Details
Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
