Information Assurance Analyst
About the role
Suffolk, VA / Onsite Blu Omega is seeking an Information Assurance Analyst to support a federal program focused on information assurance. This role operates in an onsite environment and is responsible for analyzing information assurance-related technical problems and providing recommendations and technical support to meet network security requirements. The position requires experience supporting Navy IA and cybersecurity functions in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze general information assurance-related technical problems and provide recommendations and technical support.
- Audit and support implementation of solutions that meet network security requirements.
- Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
- Support cyber-security assessments and investigations.
- Aid in the management of eMASS to meet DoW and DoN A&A requirements.
- Conduct Package Submitting Office level review and validation of RMF packages as required for Security Authorization Package level review.
- Apply best business practices across NAVIFOR accreditation packages to ensure uniformity and the capability to capture performance metrics.
- Conduct research and analysis and provide recommendations in support of network security, risk, and compliance policy and implementation guidance.
- Aid in providing an efficient and repeatable process for all four of the DoW IT Types (IS, Platform IT, IT Services, IT Products) to reduce package rework.
- Collaborate with US Fleet Forces Command, OPNAV, Navy Authorization Office (NAO), and Security Control Assessor (SCA) on RMF package products and status.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least one-year relevant experience performing Navy IA or cybersecurity functions.
- Active TS/SCI clearance (current SSBI within the five-year scope).
- Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Suffolk, VA.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and leadership briefings.

Pay
Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
