About the role

Are you a scientist who discovered a passion for coding? We are looking for an Informatics Associate to join our antibody discovery group at IQVIA Labs. In this role, you aren’t building abstract statistical models; you are the technical bridge between our sequencing lab and our data pipelines. You will write the code (R/Python) that turns biological samples into meaningful research insights.

Responsibilities

  • Informatics Support: Support antibody discovery and library technologies with a focus on Sanger and NGS sequencing.
  • Workflow Design: Design and execute backend bioinformatics workflows for antibody discovery pipelines.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Independently resolve technical challenges within the informatics group.
  • Data Mastery: Use R, Python, and SQL to assess sequencing quality (FASTQ, ABI, FASTA) and prioritize research leads.
  • Collaboration: Act as the technical translator between wet-lab scientists and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or Molecular Biology (Recent grads welcome) OR a Bachelor’s with 2+ years of relevant lab/informatics experience.
  • Coding: Proficiency in Python or R is required.
  • Domain Expertise: A strong understanding of DNA/amino acid processing and NGS platforms (Illumina/PacBio).

Pay

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $52,000.00 - $130,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
