Infectious Disease physician

About the Role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Part-Time Infectious Disease Physician to provide bedside wound management in the post-acute care setting in Wytheville, VA. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using the proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Participate in paid wound management training and a 6-month wound care fellowship upon onboarding

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Virginia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship available)

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4-5 days per week
• Full-time work hours: Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities
