About the role

The Infectious Disease Physician will join our dynamic healthcare team in Omaha, specializing in diagnosing and treating patients. The role includes full spectrum of adult infectious disease, one half-day of outpatient clinic per week, inpatient rounding on teaching and nonteaching services, and participation in various educational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of children and their families
  • Manage complex patients and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in call schedule of 1:5
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and ID fellows
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to the academic environment

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care

Qualifications
